Warren Speed - Writer / Director / Pervo The Clown
Warren Speed started out playing in a rock band, moved onto stand-up comedy and now performs critically acclaimed male burlesque in large venues around the world.
Performing an energetic brand of slapstick Warren often ends up wearing nothing but a thong with nipple and bum tassles, and as bizarre as it sounds audiences love him – as proved by his recent two week stint in Paris performing alongside the world’s biggest burlesque star Dita Von Teese.
In the year 2000 Warren founded Growling Clown Entertainment who now organise the annual Newcastle Gateshead comedy festival, the chain of Funny Bones comedy clubs, the bizarre clubnight House of the Golden Lotus and also the popular theatre variety show Cabaret Excentrique.
Previous credits for Warren include writing, co-directing and performing in a theatrical circus show called “The Midnight Circus”; writing, co-directing and starring in a strange TV sitcom pilot called “Freakarama”; and besides all this he also regularly performs as a stilt-walker and freakshow performer at many diverse events in Europe.
Warren’s latest achievement is to be the writer/co-producer/co-director and one of the stars in the low budget comedy horror movie ZOMBIE WOMEN OF SATAN.
